Do you manage my investments?

Business Class Asia do not advise or manage investments on behalf of its clients. BCA are a Trust and Fiduciary specialist we are neither licensed nor experienced as an investment manager. Clients can self-manage their accounts or alternatively appoint a third party Discretionary Manager to oversee, advise and manage their accounts. Any Management firm must be fully regulated and be approved by the Trustee.

What is BCA’s approach to planning?

At the forefront of everything we do sits ‘protection.’ Whilst every client’s situation is different, they all need protection of some sort. The type of things we are looking to safeguard are their families and their businesses wellbeing, long after their retirement or even death. Taking into consideration the total asset base and estate, we structure our solutions to provide flexibility and security, whilst reducing tax exposure and enabling a smooth transition of ownership to their beneficiaries.

How do you charge?

We typically charge an administration fee at outset, followed by a fee for service thereafter. The size of fees, and when they become due, is dependent on the structure and complexity of each case. Our initial proposal will set out the initial fees and ongoing charges, and these will be agreed upon before each case is commenced.

What happens after I become a client?

A relationship with BCA could be better described as a journey, which ends with your financial affairs being structured in a cost and tax efficient manner so that you and your family can benefit from all the hard work that you’ve done in growing your assets. To achieve that takes time and it is rare that we make a recommendation that is implemented in one go. Once we enter the implementation phase, we agree our ongoing service standards and time frames when other parts of the plan will take effect. We continue to meet at regular agreed intervals, these meetings used to review arrangements and take into account any changes in circumstances that may affect the original objectives. BCA are never far away and will continue to pride itself on care and service.

How do I get started?

All BCA relationships begin with an initial discussion and a get to know each other meeting. We like to understand our clients properly from the outset and that starts by getting to know their basic needs. That allows also both parties to get comfortable with each other, and make an informed decision about working together. To better understand the intricacies of each person’s situation, develop strategies and to agree an overall plan, a number of subsequent meetings will take place, culminating with the presentation of a proposal detailing our recommendations and the reasons why.
